The National Secretary of APC , Alhaji Mai Mala Buni is the governor elect of Yobe State.
The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Abubakar Musa Kundiri who announced the result last night said Mai Mala Buni of APC scored 444, 013 beating his PDP opponent Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum of PDP who pulled 95, 703 votes.
The exersise was general peaceful in the State.
There was wild jubilation throughout the state as supporters of the APC were busy celebrating all through the night.
