Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last general election, has urged the Super Eagles to make Nigerians proud in their match against the Lions of Cameroon.
The former Vice President said this on his verified Twitter handle.
He tweeted, “I pray that the @NGSuperEagles will give our spirit a boost in today’s game against Cameroon. Like millions, I will be cheering you to victory.
“Soar Eagles, go make us proud.”
The Super Eagles are currently playing against Cameroon in the round of 16 at the ongoing African Cup of Nations holding in Egypt.
As of the time of filing this report, Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo has scored the first goal of the match.
