Umara pledges to rebuild damaged infrastructure in Borno

     

Governor Babagana Umara of Borno State has pledged to immediately rebuild the 34-kilometre Pulka-Limankara road bordering Adamawa and Cameroun.

The governor spoke at the weekend while inspecting the facility damaged in April 2014 by Boko Haram insurgents at Limankara village.His words: “This Bridge linking Borno and Adamawa states as well as Cameroun is to be rebuilt immediately for farmers to resume their farming activities.“We will ensure that security is beefed up to protect farmers in their farmlands and orchards.”

He also promised the emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Mohammed Shehu Idrissa, of basic needs and comfort provided he relocates from Maiduguri this month to live with his people.
