Pandemonium broke out Sunday afternoon at the Popoyemoja area of Ibadan, as hoodlums took over the proceedings of a major masquerade, Abidielege, immediately after the left palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, located in the area.
As the masquerade approached idi-Arere junction, some street boys said to be based at the junction engaged in fight with another rival gang escorting the masquerade.
However, an hour after the maquareade had left the scene, mobile policemen were still busy keeping the hoodlums at bay from Idi-Arere, Isale-Ijebu and Oja’ba axis.
